Sara Silvey, Table Leader Coordinator
Sara, tell us a little about yourself: Hey, y'all! My name is Sara! :-) This will be my third year with MOMS TO MOMS, second year as a table leader, and first year as the Table Leader Coordinator. My, how these three years have been such a blessing! I'm originally from South Georgia and moved up here with my brother and his family when my mom passed. My wonderful neighbor, Shari Brown, invited me to MOMS TO MOSM and I'm so thankful she did! My favorite thing about this group is the love and support that is shown to moms in all walks of life and the true friendships I have gained since being a part of this group.
One weird fact about me: As a child, I had an armadillo as a pet. He only lived for a day, but he was still quite an uncommon pet. We have a hedgehog for a pet now, so the love for unusual pets continues on!
What are you reading right now? I am currently reading The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian.
What was the last movie you saw and enjoyed? Alice Through the Looking Glass
Tell us your funniest, over-the-top mom story: It would have to be when my oldest asked Santa for a copy machine so he could make copies of the things he makes. Santa replied, "So, if you're already making copies of the things you make, aren't YOU the copying machine?" He still was disappointed that Santa didn't bring him a copying machine and I told him that it was because it wouldn't fit in his room.
Amber Wimbs, Service Coordinator
Amber, tell us a little about yourself: I have been married to my husband, Daniel, for 5 years. We have two boys, Hugh (4) & Clay (1). I grew up in Dover, TN my WHOLE existence! I attended APSU where I met my husband. We fell in love, both dropped out of college (honesty is the best policy), got married, had babies, and have been here in Clarksville for 7 years!
I had very little connections here, so I sought out meaningful relationships. I was invited to a discipleship group for women and have steadily made deep, lasting connections. Those connections eventually lead me to MOMS TO MOMS!
I love this group of ladies and the unending hugs and support! Everyone here is so willing to encourage and be vulnerable with each other in order to grow in Christ together!
One weird fact about me: Actually two...
1. my favorite hobby is cross-stitching family portraits
2. I really can lick my elbow!
What are you reading right now? Ditch the Baggage by Nancy Alcorn...a book on living a life of freedom!
What is the last movie you saw and enjoyed? TAG! Just watched it last week and was pleasantly surprised!
Tell us your funniest, over-the-top mom story: Hugh stuck gum in my hair before having to speak at our summer women's ministry gathering and I had to cut it out. Another one...Daniel caught Hugh pooping outside and told me to come look (I was 100 months pregnant). I laughed so hard I peed all in my pants. Daniel had to spray us both off with the water hose. It was Father's Day...
