As
you have likely seen on my Facebook posts, we had a situation with Andrew's
school that was...not a good situation for him. So, we ended up needing to pull
him out immediately. Things have been crazy since then. My days look totally
different (and I was struggling to keep up before). But my priorities have
shifted from writing to teaching my son.
And
though I have been tired (until his curriculum comes in, I have been playing
double duty and writing his lessons the evening before), God has been faithful
to sustain me.
Has
this been true for you too?
Psalm
46:10 says these simple, but power-filled words:
“Be
still, and know that I am God!"
And
as packed with truth as I know they are, that first part is SO difficult, is it
not? BE STILL.
It
is so counter to who we are as mommas. To who our culture drives us to be. We
are on the go, running here and there, doing this, experiencing that...
Do
we ever take that time to BE STILL and let him refresh us? Or do we only do
that when we are in crisis mode?
So
my prayer for each of you is that you will take time today to still yourselves
before the Lord. Take that time to let His presence wash over you and fill you
anew.
And
give you peace.
