One of my favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17:
"For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. he will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
Delight...such an interesting word. It has a sweet connotation to it. (Digging back to old grammar lessons to remember what connotation means?) Me too...

Connotation = "the idea or feeling a word evokes in addition to its literal meaning"
Not only does the word "delight" have a nice connotation, I looked up the definition and it has a lovely set of synonyms, too: enchant, captivate, thrill.
I think it's pretty safe to say that the Lord is enamored with you. Each one of us.
Have you ever said to someone "The God of the universe is captivated with me. ME!"?
Probably not. But that doesn't make it any less true. Or any less worth saying. Out loud. Right now.
Do it. I dare ya.
Because I think as women in our culture, we are so often overlooked. In a day when people are so often defined, and valued even, by "what do you do?", we can feel lost. Or worse--less than.
No more.
That is not our place. That is not what we were designed for. That is not who we are.
You are more than the sum of your parts. Or the sum of your daily tasks. You are fashioned by a loving Creator and fit for eternity with the King of all kings...as His beloved daughter.
Don't let this world try to put you in a box or melt you into some mold. It didn't create you, it can't hope to define you.
Look to Him to tell you who you are. And trust Him when He tells you how precious, how loved, and how lavishly loved you are.
