I am originally from southern Illinois in a town where everyone knows your name, and I’m the youngest of 3 kids. Many people tell me I look like my mom and act like my dad. After college, I did something crazy and I moved to Nashville without knowing anyone. I was an elementary school teacher in East Nashville for 8 years, and then I decided to try online dating and met this handsome guy named Daniel who loves Jesus, and as they say “the rest is history.” He was already living in Clarksville and working here as an attorney, so I moved here after we got married. I also married his football team. (That is what happens you marry a Bama Boy.) We love the Alabama Crimson Tide, and I’m glad we love a team that works well with my color pallet.
I taught for two more years here in Clarksville, and then I left to be a stay at home mom. My mom jokingly calls me an “On the Go” mom, because my daughter Sarah and I are always on the move! It’s so fun to introduce her to new experiences and to see familiar things in a new way through her eyes.
Teaching was my identity and what made me feel I had a purpose for most of my adult life, and this group really helped me to find my new purpose. I joined when Sarah was 3 months old, and next year she’ll start KINDERGARTEN! (Cue the waterworks.) I began serving on the steering team after my first year to do Creative Activities (Yay for Craftiness!), and then I switched to Membership and Finance (Yay for Spreadsheets!) It is so much fun to be on the steering team. I love what God is doing through this group!
I love Jesus, hate pickles, and adore children’s books. I’m a big fan of meeting new people, singing along with the radio, and saying things out loud that should probably just stay in my head. I love this group so much that it’s hard for me to put into words. If you’re a newbie, we’ve all been there and we are so glad that you’re here! Thanks for letting us help you along in this crazy journey of motherhood that God is leading you through.

I have grown up in the south, but I'm not really your typical southern girl. I have only purchased one monogrammed item in my entire life and still regret it. However, I do love to use the word y'all. A lot! So much that when Apple added it to their autocorrect dictionary, I was thrilled! It's the little things in life y'all. ;) I also love to host people in my home and feed them yummy food. I get that from my momma.
I graduated from high school and college in Arkansas. I got a degree in occupational therapy, and I currently practice in pediatrics. I've been working part time hours at Advanced Therapy Solutions for the past two years and love it!
I always joke with people that my husband and I are an arranged marriage. It's a good story, but better shared in person so ask me sometime! We have been married 8 years this December. He is a youth minister, and I'm grateful to serve alongside him in his ministry. Thankfully he also supports my ministry efforts, so I'm looking forward to sharing my love for crafting with y'all this year!
