Looking Forward To This Year!

Are you getting excited? I know I am! August 25th (our kickoff) is a little over two weeks away! And leadership has been busy planning and getting everything ready for this family friendly event. Please, do plan to be there at Hilldale Baptist's Main Campus (2001 Madison Street) at 6 pm with your family for food, fun, and fellowship. It's never too soon to start getting acquainted and making those connections!

As we are planning, we, the leadership, are praying. Praying over our fellow leaders, over all of you and the relationships that will spark and develop this year.

We pray for our time together, that it will be a respite, but also a time when we can fall deeper into God, seeking Him and His Word for guidance for some of our weary mommy hearts. And grace for those places where we struggle the most. For encouragement in knowing we're not alone. For another mom to look across the table and say, "I feel the same way."

And, more than that, for God cover you with mercy and peace in the midst of life's storms. Cause it isn't easy out there. And we stand in the gap for our families. Day after day. May we dig our roots deeply into God, nourished from the Living Water of Christ, and be able to weather every season.

We are, each of us, a "Tree in Progress".

"They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit." (Jeremiah 17:8)

"Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.” (Ezekiel 47:12)

"They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do."    (Psalm 1:3)
