Hey all you lovely ladies!
This is Sara Turnquist and I am so thrilled to tell you that we are well into the process of gearing up for the 2017-18 year of Moms to Moms! The Steering Team Planning Retreat is this coming Saturday. The Table Leader Retreat will be the following Saturday. And we could not be more excited as we look at this next year and seek God's will for this group. What an awesome responsibility! And one we do not take lightly. Please do be in prayer for us as we plan and meet over these next weeks approaching kick-off (August 25th).
We would love for you to spread the word about Moms to Moms and let ALL moms know, regardless of the age of their kiddos that we have opened our group to them. I will warn you that there are a couple of classes that will now have a wait list. But please do make the effort to register and get on that list (if kiddos fall in that age range).
I want to take a moment and refresh your memory. You may recall that I spoke at the last meeting about our theming for this upcoming year - "Seasons". We will be delving into what it means to walk with God through the season of motherhood...wherever you are in that season. The application of our talks may vary. But as mothers, we all need GRACE, we all need WISDOM, PRAYER, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, and LOVE (and the list could go on and on).
Our verse for the year is Psalm 1:3 -
They are like trees planted along the riverbank bearing fruit in each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.Don't we all need that kind of constant refreshing? That kind of daily strengthening? I know I do!
Our talks will speak to these things. We will encourage each other as we always have. Moms to Moms will continue to be a safe place. Our discussion time will be more of a focus this year. Mentor Moms will be ready with their wisdom. And we will pray. We will pray for each other. Let that soak in.
Could you use some prayers? We all need words of encouragement, but I covet prayers on my behalf when everything around me seems to be shifting and I have too many plates spinning.
